Dr. Sonal Hattangdi-Haridas
With a seasoned career spanning over 26 years, Dr. Sonal Hattangdi-Haridas is a multi-award-winning Nutritional Medicine Specialist and Homeopathic Physician whose comprehensive approaches have earned the respect of medical and allied health professionals worldwide. To date, Dr. Sonal is best known for her dynamic analysis of attention issues, sensory disorders, anxiety, eczema, gut, hormones, and lifestyle imbalances. In addition, for merging her deep clinical knowledge with a pragmatic application of nutritional knowledge, earning her first prize at the JASM 2024 of The Hong Kong Paediatric Society. Applying this as the Principal Consultant and Director of Maya Health Institute, Dr. Sonal is passionate about promoting healthful living and ultimately conceptualizing positive impacts within the industry and throughout the community.
Dr. Sonal earned her master’s in Nutritional Medicine from The University of Surrey, distinguished by merit and excellence in clinical research. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Homeopathic Medicine & Surgery from The University of Mumbai and has received certifications from Harvard Medical School’s Department of Nutrition and The American College of Lifestyle Medicine. Notably, Dr. Sonal’s extensive post-graduate training includes child development, family counseling, and Cantonese – all of which reflect her commitment to practical, culturally sensitive care. This is collectively complemented by her registration with the UKVRN (A.Nutr) in the UK and with the Homeopathic Medical Council in India.
Today, Dr. Sonal serves as the Director of Maya Health Institute in Hong Kong, where she empowers clients worldwide to improve their health through a blend of scientific and holistic approaches. Her practice focuses on providing evidence-based nutritional medicine and homeopathic treatments, catering to a diverse clientele from regions including Hong Kong, Macau, Philippines, Singapore, UK, Australia and beyond.
Dr. Sonal’s unique approach offers complementary support for conventional treatments addressing various health issues such as chronic allergies, skin conditions, developmental and immunity challenges. Additionally, she practices with compassion, and uses personalized techniques to help enhance overall health and well-being.
Outside her practice, Dr. Sonal contributes to several medical journals, including the Hong Kong Institute of Allergy publication and Nutrients and Human Vaccines & Immunotherapeutics, and serves as a reviewer for the Pediatric Journal of Allergy and Immunology. In addition, she is affiliated with esteemed organizations such as The Royal Society of Medicine in the UK and The Hong Kong Pediatric Society – all with the shared goal of improving lives and advancing medical knowledge. Her insightful presentations at various organizations and conferences are consistently well received and widely praised.
